Everyone always says to write down the funny things your kids say. Because of Facebook, I realize that everyone has kids that say the darndest things, but I think that my big boy comes up with some doozies. I have determined that if I could figure them all out in a orderly fashion, I could actually work them into a published type format. Kinda like diary of a whimpy kid, but more like diary of an amused mom. Or crazy. Or... Anyway, I went back through all my Facebook posts to find all the things that B's said over the years, and here are a few I found.
...and today I learned from Brayden that Santa gets stuff at Walmart. :)
I just want to let you know that Brayden has started his own trend.... Adding the word "soakin'" to things (yes, like soakin' wet) - things around here are "soakin' cool" or "soakin' mad!"
Mommy wasn't paying enough attention to Brayden. Papa found him outside with the little shark vaccuum. He said he was vaccuuming up the dirt. Yep. He sure was.
Just seen on the news... Children who are spanked are MORE LIKELY to go to college and be happy as an adult. (Brayden will graduate as valedictorian and be giddy beyond belief. lol)
Me: Brayden, is there anyone else you want to invite to your birthday party? B: Yes! Me: Who? B: A birthday cake.
You know your preschooler has watched The Wizard of Oz too many times when he finds a broom and declares, "I'm a good witch."
So whenever we say ANYTHING, Brayden asks, "Why?" He's relentless. Just a few minutes ago he was "why-ing" me again, and he managed to ask why where it didn't belong. I said, "BRAYDEN! That's enough! That's not even a 'why'!" And he goes, "Okay, how about 'B'?"
I'm trying this morning to convince Brayden that just because he says something louder, it doesn't help me understand what he means.
Brayden just let me know that his car has "a wounded baddery (battery)...it doesn't work."
I was making pancakes for the boys and set off the smoke alarm. Brayden says, "Wow Mommy, you make pancakes just like Grandma!" lol
Brayden: "Look at that train. I can hear it. I have super hearing eyes."

New Pages
I've been thinking lately that I need to get back to scrapping... I got an email from Shutterfly offering me a free photo book, so I got to work. I found a site that seems to have a lot of my style of materials - ScrapMatters.com - but it's hard to spend money on supplies when I already have gigs and gigs of stuff from the past 7 years. BUT... It seems like it's been forever since I was last scrapping, and I really need something to get me motivated. SIGH. Things get too hectic around here. The boys start school a week from today, though, and so I'm going to do my best to get all caught up before Christmas. Anyhoo... Here's what I've been doing with the help of some things that I was able to get from ScrapMatters.
These are two pages for my 2011 year book. This will be my 3rd annual book, so I need to get it done. It's a lot of fun to have these books on my shelf to thumb through. They could be a little bit more refined, but I'm just trying to get my 20 pages done before my coupon expires. hehe.

Fall, Beautiful Fall!!!
It's finally starting to cool off around here. After a summer of 113*+ days, it's quite a relief to see days in the low 90*'s. I know to a lot of people, that'd still be quite warm, but to us, it's time for playing outside!
It's also time to break out the cookbook and start looking for new recipes. And soups. Yum. I love fall because it starts cooling off enough that I actually find myself wanting to DO stuff... I'm not exhausted from just THINKING about the heat outside.

Today I whipped up some Fire Crackers.... and some not so fire crackers (same song, but without the red pepper flakes) which are in essence Ranch Crackers. Of course, my sensitive palette can't take the heat like Hubby's can, so I eat 1 hot cracker to every 2 ranch ones. The boys are LOVING them too. Logan likes the hot ones... go figure.
Speaking of, little man will be TWO on Friday. Where, oh WHERE does the time go?? Although I'd love to say he's growing up too fast, there are certain stages of life that I kind of prefer to pass by in a blur. I still cherish the moments, but some days leave me with a few more gray hairs. This is especially true when your child is clingy, daring, smart, sneaky, curious, or a combination of ALL of the listed.

Logan is my little buddy - he's a momma's boy through and through - but watch out for the seconds he's NOT with me... and eerily quiet. Chances are he's on the top bunk, naked, or ripping something apart. Or all three. Ah, two years old. Fun times. The little stinker would be in a lot more trouble a lot more often if he weren't so stinkin' cute. He has this "oh, pity me" face that can get him out of a lot of situations. And he uses it for his benefit.
